Remote Order Entry (ROE)
A business tool offered by NRF and designed to save the customer time and money.

Here is a summary of the benefits of Remote Order Entry, our on-line ordering system:

  • View live inventory down to the roll, carton, piece and sheet levels!
  • Verify order status!
  • Edit/delete orders (subject to certain exceptions) immediately after placing them, to ensure accuracy!
  • Access to detailed product information!
  • Check status on open claims and returns!
  • Flexibility to plan ahead by placing orders with future ship dates!
  • View your pricing including promotional pricing!
  • View your delivery schedules and the amount due on those dates!
  • Print, email, or save a copy of your order confirmations!
  • Review or print your order history data!
  • Support staff is available to help you through any issues!

1) What are the requirements of Remote Order Entry?
To use ROE you will need the following:
→ Open account with NRF
→ A personal computer
→ Windows 98, ME, 2000, or XP (We are sorry, but Mac operating systems are not supported)
→ An active internet connection
→ An email address is optional but allows for emailing confirmations to yourself
2) How much is Remote Order Entry?
NRF does not charge anything for the use of this service. Your only cost will be your internet connection and your computer.
3) I am getting a connection error saying: "Incompatible Sever Version".
You will need to download and install the latest version of the connection software. Your current username and password will work in the new version.
4) I am getting a connection error saying: "General Socket Error".
This is usually the result of a firewall issue on your end. In order to fix this problem you will need to either allow a program acuthin.exe to access the internet, or allow TCP access for port 5632. Please contact us if need help with this.
5) My password will not save anymore. Can we fix that?
Yes, we can! Simply follow these steps. This will assume that you have installed Remote Order Entry into the default directory. If you chose a different directory, you will need to use that one.
  1. Open "My Computer"
  2. Open your C: drive. A common name for this is Local Disk C:
  3. Open the "Program Files" folder
  4. Open the folder named NRFThinClient
  5. Locate the file named passwd
  6. Right-click on the file and choose delete
  7. Log back into Remote Order Entry
Your password should now save properly!
6) Can you email me my password?
We do not keep records of any issued passwords. We will be happy to reset the password for you. Please give us a call at a number listed below, and we can reset it for you.
7) Where do I get Remote Order Entry?
The Remote Order Entry connection software can be downloaded right here.
8) How do I change my password?
You can change your password from the settings menu option on the Remote Order Entry Main Menu.
9) I have forgotten my password! What do I do now?
Please give us a call at a number listed below, and we can reset it for you.
10) I have more than one computer in my office or more than one store location. Can I install ROE on those computers?
You may install the software on any number of machines in your office or home. They will all share the same login name and password. We do have some limitations set up on the number of users one store may have logged in at once, but if this becomes an issue at your store, please give us a call.
11) I have more than one user that will be accessing the system. Can we have different users set up in ROE?
Currently all users at a store share the same login name and password.
